According to Department of Government Information, the temporary ban that was imposed on social media platforms and messaging apps in Sri Lanka has been lifted today (2019/04/30).
A close affiliate of Easter Sunday attacker Zaharan Hashim has been arrested during a raid in Kalmunei (East Coast of Sri Lanka). The suspect has been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division for further interrogation.
Police curfew was re-imposed only in Kalmunai, Samanthurai and Chawalakadai areas from 6 pm yesterday (2019/04/29) till 8 am today (2019/04/30). There continues to be a heightened security presence island-wide to further ensure the safety and security of the general public. There is no curfew in the rest of the island
All public transportation and other businesses are running as normal. The Cinnamon Air internal flights have also re-commenced as reported yesterday.
