Jetwing Yala wins silver at the National Green Awards 2015
Jetwing Yala once again was recognized for its efforts towards sustainable operations, with the Silver Award in the Hotel Sector at the National Green Awards held earlier this month at the BMICH.
Organized by the Central Environmental Authority of Sri Lanka under the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment, the Awards were initiated in 2011, to recognize those in the business community and other local service organizations, who contribute their efforts to enhance the quality of the environment. Agencies and individuals are nominated under different sectors, and are evaluated on subjects such as environmental pollution control, waste and resources management, cleaner production, etc.
