Miris Trails kicks off with a Bang!

The first session of the Cookery Class organized by Miris Trails, in alliance with Sri Lanka Tailor-Made (Jetwing Travels) kicked off on a spectacular note. The nature of the tour is primarily to cater to a discerning group of food lovers who will be staying at some of the finest hotels in the Sri Lanka, transferred across by personal chauffeur driven cars.
The guests were warmly welcomed with garlands by the staff at Jetwing Beach, Negombo on the 02nd of September where they spend the evening in fellowship over dinner. The early morning visit on the 03rd September showcased sights of busy fishermen bringing to shore their catch; this served a good opportunity for our guests to purchase sea food for the cookery class that was to commence later that day.
Saminda- Food and Beverage Manager and his crew have orchestrated a fantastic setup of a traditional village fashioning a rustic and humble Sri Lankan ambiance.
Under the guidance of Chef Kalanapriya, the group tried their hand in preparing dhal curry, fish curry, Negombo prawn curry, and okra curry in individually setup work stations. These mouth watering, spice blended curries were later served and enjoyed with warm steamed rice at noon by the beach.
The group now moves on to Jetwing Vil Uyana to experience more authentic culinary arts and flavours of Sri Lanka.
