My feedback on our tailormade trip in Sri Lanka in July.
Milani was very professional, and very helpful with ideas of places to visit and suggested number of days in each venue. She also dealt with all my planning requests in a timely and efficient manner and her level of service is very good.
I have to say that all the Jetwing hotels we stayed at were very good – very professional, clean, rooms excellent, and with very good service – you can certainly see that they are all very well trained. Just one hotel let Jetwing down – OZO in Kandy, where it was very noticeable that the level of service is nowhere similar to any of the Jetwing hotels we stayed at (Galle, Yala, Wellawaya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Sigiriya). The tables were dirty in the dining room, lots of staff but they’re not trained very well, and certainly not professional, and Receptionists very rude and quite dismissive. I had to reprimand staff serving at the rooftop poolside bar there (in Sinhalese so other guests couldn’t understand) for ignoring us for over 10 minutes while all 3 of them dealt with a problematic customer and paid us no attention whatsoever which is no way to deal with your hotel guests. Also, accommodation for our driver and car was not provided there.
Special thanks must go to our driver for the tour, Rajeewa Pieris. He was always on time to collect us, knowledgeable about the various places that we stopped at, ensured we were checked into each hotel quickly, and went to great lengths to accommodate any of our requests, particularly a slight detour to our tour to fit in seeing my cousin on the way back to Colombo. He definitely made the tour a memorable one, and was very impressive. If you have something like “Employee for the month”, we would certainly nominate him as he’s an ideal candidate. We are back home in July 2017 and will be arranging another tour – and would certainly like him to be our driver.
