Feedback from clients

Dileshni,

I am writing to thank you so much for arranging such an AMAZING holiday for us in your truly stunning country. We had a fantastic time, it really was a trip of a lifetime.

I would like to specifically thank and mention Gayashan, from the very first time meeting him he was professional, courteous, friendly and a pleasure to spend so much time with. The car was always immaculate, he always had water available for us, he had a thorough knowledge of the culture, wildlife and cuisine of the country. We felt safe with him at all times despite the perilous road conditions. In a tour like we did the guide is the difference between having a good or a bad overall experience as we really did spend an awful lot of time with him. When we have done previous tours in other countries we have found that the guide has been too inquisitive into our personal affairs or alternatively does not listen to what we want or spends too much time bringing us to outlets/shops to make commission.

The itinerary that you came up with while busy was perfect for us and we were able to do and see a lot in such a short time. Saying that there is so much to do and see in Sri Lanka we will have to come back again.

The hotels you recommended were also excellent, really stunning, everyone of them we hated leaving. The only hotel that I have specific comments on is Saman Villas, these are just comments and not criticisms.

The positives of the hotel are

-Excellent staff and service

-Stunning location

– Amazing food – probably the best we had in Sri Lanka

-Excellent massage in the Spa

-Gorgeous pool area

The negatives are as follows

-Compared to other hotels we stayed in I felt the rooms were dated, I would be interested to see how much this hotel cost versus for example 98 acres or some of the other hotels as it is very expensive on Trip Advisor

-There was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, you were allowed order it once a day free of charge. This is unacceptable really in any hotel but particularly one where the villas are separate from the main hotel. We woke on our last morning at 6am and it was raining very heavily and it seemed crazy to have to call someone to deliver coffee.

– Our villa was at the beach end of the resort and there was a security guard outside almost 24 hours a day to protect the resort from people coming in from the public beach, the problem was the guard did not stay in his security hut but instead walked up and down outside our villa which I found a bit unsettling and effected our privacy.

As I say these all are just observations, we still had a really lovely time in the hotel.

Thank you again for everything.

Ruth & Shane
